01. Permanent Residence
Express Entry
Express Entry is a streamlined immigration system for skilled workers aiming to immigrate to Canada. It includes three main programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. Applicants create an online profile based on age, education, work experience, and language skills, etc. Candidates are ranked, and those the highest scores receive invitations to apply for permanent residency during regular draws.
Provincial Nominee Program
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows Canadian provinces to nominate individuals for permanent residence based on their skills and work experience. Each province has specific criteria tailored to its labor market needs. Successful nominees benefit from a faster immigration process, helping address regional labor shortages and promoting economic growth.
Family Class Sponsorship
Family Class Sponsorship enables Canadian citizens or permanent residents to sponsor their loved ones for permanent residency. It facilitates immigration for spouses, common-law partners, dependent children, parents and grandparents, etc. Sponsors may be required to meet income requirements and support their family members financially. This program is essential for families to stay united in Canada.
Humanitarian & Compassionate Consideration
Humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) considerations, as specified in A25 and A25.1 of the IRPA, offer an opportunity to grant permanent residency or permanent resident visa to certain foreign nationals who do not meet the criteria for any class, provided there are compelling H&C grounds. Applicants are encouraged to submit any relevant facts pertaining to their personal circumstances that may support their request for H&C consideration.
